Good oral hygiene after a dental procedure is crucial. Avoid brushing the operated side until the sutures have been removed. To prevent infection, you should rinse your mouth twice a day with a disinfectant mouthwash such as Corsodyl or Perio-Aid 0.12%. Rinse for 30 seconds each time, undiluted. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Slight post-operative bleeding after a tooth or implant procedure is normal and can last for several hours. Avoid repeated rinsing during this period, as this can worsen the bleeding. If bleeding persists, you can usually stop it by biting firmly on a compress or a clean cotton cloth for 15 to 20 minutes. Try to avoid hot drinks. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Swelling after a procedure is common. By applying ice or a cold compress (wrapped in a towel) to the cheek immediately after treatment, you can limit swelling and bruising. Smoking is strongly discouraged after a procedure, as it has a negative impact on healing and the integration of implants. In healthy conditions, the success rate is 94 to 96%, while this can drop to approximately 70% for smokers.
